Summer Rangers:
Explore, create, and adventure with friends

At Summer Rangers, kids get swept away by the magic of Wizards and Wands, dig into Geology and prospecting, whip up culinary wonders and discover the fantastic world of New Hampshire wildlife. Each camp follows a live-action story line, complete with characters who pop in and out of the portal to help campers understand and experience the themes first-hand. It’s all about engagement as kids follow along, try and predict what’s next and take a lead role themselves.

The final day of each camp is a special treat — a kid-driven finale where campers teach attendees all that they’ve learned. You’ll be surprised and impressed by the skill and enthusiasm with which they share their new knowledge with others!

Students currently in grades 1-5 can register as campers for Wizards, Geo Rockhounds, Geology Rocks!, Wild NH, and Mission Incredible. Students currently in grades 2-5 can register for Chefs, Greek Week. Students in grades 6-9 are eligible to be CITs for all camps.

Design a game of skill or chance to run at our Potter-inspired mystical fair. Craft a creature, welcome visitors to your wand shop, create a potion or prophecy, and whip up some chocolate snitches. The Friday fair raises money for a charity devoted to local kids and other magical creatures.

This week also features a film option— a small band of young actors wave their wands and bring the magic to life. View last year’s film project here. Note: No previous HP experience is required — we revel in the lighter aspects of the storyline.

Campers get to go behind the scenes at the Seacoast’s best restaurants, taste the specialties, and learn the ropes with award winning chefs from Nichinan, Black Trumpet, Carriage House, Botanica, Vida and other local hot spots. Back at camp, create tasty treats, enter the Cutthroat Cooking Challenge and gear up to serve customers on Friday in eleven kid-run cafes and food trucks.

WBC DIY Option: For WBC camp veterans and older campers, this option allows the chance to design and run your own international test kitchen with the guidance of one of Portsmouth’s most successful chefs.
